Rotems desert ecological accomodation - General information
In the heart of the Arava desert, one hour drive to Eilat, one hour to Mitzpe Ramon and one and a half hours to the Dead sea, amongst the primaeval view and agricultural fields on Moshav Pharan, is Rotems guesthouse.
Four spacious and beautifully designed, self built ecological huts, made of earth and natural materials that are surrounded by a blooming fruit and spice garden.
Here at Rotems you will find a comfortable and calm corner, where you can relax and experience the quiet.

Each room has a well equipped kitchenette,seating area, bathroom and regular toilet.
Complementary dates and wine will be provided and the kitchenette will be stocked with tea, coffee, espresso coffee maker, small fridge with milk, salt, pepper and olive oil.
We also provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, linen, shower and pool towels.
The water is purified and suitable for drinking.
You are welcome to enjoy the small library and stereo system.
The structure is insulated, private and pleasant thanks to the straw bales it is built of.
The rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning.
The huts do not have a television or a jacuzzi.
Every two huts share a deck.
Outside your room, you will find a dining table, an area with mattresses for chilling out, a shaded veranda including hammocks and a rich and flourishing fruit and herb garden.
There is also an outside common kitchen including gas and electric cookers, a large fridge, a grill and bonfire area and poyke pots.
Please do not light fires anywhere else in the complex.
Bonfires and the poyke can be used outside the moshav.
Near the kitchen, is the main structure, suitable for large common meals such as several families or social get togethers.
The structure is a well equipped, semi open, roofed and protected against the rain.
Our delicatessen is located in the common area. Here you can find, excellent local wine, cheese, spreads and other locally handmade tasty treats.
Opposite the huts is the pool, shared by the four huts. It is 5 meters in diameter and 1.1 meters deep, it is shaded and fenced in, including a chill out area with bar stools, mats and mattresses.
Please make sure the gate is shut and do not leave children unattended.
Seven minutes walk is the “desert spirit” complex, including a well equipped and air conditioned Yoga studio. You are welcome to join the regular classes during weekdays or request private lessons or workshops. If the studio is free, you are welcome to use it for your own practice.
